Drama & Making for 3-7yrsSeedlings classes in 2013 (mostly 2nd Saturdays of the month)Children take part in a making activity, then use their creation to inspire their very own stories. Parents/carers are welcome to leave their children with us and come back to share our mini-sharing at the end. Only 12 places.£6 per session or £10 for two children. Or book five sessions for £30 and join the Seedlings Club for free! Saturday 6th April- Magic Potions Mix together an amazing concoction of colours and ingredients... what happens when you drink it? Saturday 11th May - Coco's Cafe Come to Coco's Cafe and make your favourite foods. Order what you want and try some new things. Snail soup? Saturday 15th June - Treehouse Tales Make your own hideaway den... Climb trees and tell stories in the treehouse. Can you find us? Saturday 13th July- I am a Robot Make a robot armband and find out what happens when you press this button... Uh-oh, did you press THAT button? Saturday 10th August - Spaced Out We're making a rocket and going to outer space... where will we go? What will we find? Saturday 14th September - The Book of Me Decorate your very own book and fill it with your very own stories. Angry? Sad? Silly? It can all go in... Saturday 12th October - Cars & Carousels You can be a driver with your own steering wheel, then play traffic jams, journeys and driving. Mind you don't crash! Saturday 9th November - Buried Treasure Everyone needs somewhere to put their treasures, create a mini treasure box and then see if we can find treasures to go inside... Saturday 14th December - Journey to the North Pole So cold! But we need to make the long, long journey to the North Pole to find... well, who might we find? Wrap up warm with some specially decorated gloves, and get ready... all at The Mill Community Centre, 7-11 Coppermill Lane, E17 7HA Two sessions: 10.10.50am & 11.11.50am Classes are recommended for ages 3-7yrs although older children are welcome. About Sarah (who runs the sessions):  Sarah Chase (BA Hons, PGCE) is an qualified and experienced Drama and English teacher, using drama to help learn just about everything. Sarah is a volunteer Therapeutic Playworker with Carefree Kids and uses elements of play therapy in her work to help children grow as they play - reflecting back and setting limits to keep children safe. As a mother of 3 young children herself, Sarah is fascinated by how children develop and never fails to be amazed by children's inner resources and imagination. Sarah says "Children of this age have such tremendous imagination, and though we do plan our activities, I enjoy being able to adapt and change according to the individual children we see. We never quite know where our ideas will take us!' |

With small classes, Grow Your Own Theatre's Seedlings drama and making classes allow your child to share their own ideas and imagination. Giving your child the space to tell their stories... Stories and play are how children make sense of the world. By exploring ideas of being naughty, journeys, danger and fear, children can find solutions and inner resilience. They also have a lot of fun! With three small children herself, Sarah knows how hard it can be to commit to a term of classes for our often unpredictable littlies. So we run regular one-offs! Book for a session, or a series of five and get a free membership to the Seedlings Club.  At the Magical Marvellous Pet Show , children made bean bag pets who could do tricks - jumping, flying and breathing under water! Birthday PartiesLooking for something different for your 3-7yr old? Grow Your Own Theatre birthday parties use your children's ideas to create their very own drama & making party . This year, Grow Your Own Theatre parties have included Aliens, Dragons & Knights, Fairytales and Surprise Boxes... We have excellent feedback and had some fantastic adventures!
